A small, independent publisher of large print puzzle books that are easy on the eyes.
Why “Honeykite”?
The name joins two simple pleasures: honey, for warmth and generosity, and a kite, for lightness and lift on an open afternoon. The H and K are also our founder’s initials.
What we make
We make large print word search books for adults and seniors that are comfortable to read and lovely to give. Every book in our Old-Fashioned Word Search series uses big, bold letters in Atkinson Hyperlegible, a typeface from the Braille Institute; one puzzle per full 8.5 x 11 inch page; three levels of difficulty; and a fun fact or memory question beside every puzzle.
Our themes are cozy and old-fashioned on purpose: Christmas kitchens and carols, snowy days and quilting bees, soda fountains and drive-in movies. We want each page to feel like a cup of tea with an old friend.
How we work
- Every word list is checked so that no word hides inside another, and facts are checked before they are printed.
- We avoid brand names and trademarks, so the books stay timeless.
- Our paperbacks are printed on demand by Amazon, which means less waste and no warehouse of unsold books.
